Creating the Perfect Save the Date for Your Next Celebration

While everyone I know (and everyone I’ve ever seen on social media) is getting engaged, married, or pregnant, I’m over here celebrating myself in a completely different way.

I’m graduating! I’m graduating college after 10 years of being in school on and off. I have accomplished so much in this last decade, and I am so proud of myself for making it (almost!) to the end of this crazy journey.

While my life is nothing like I imagined it would be at this point, I have to say, I could not be more happy with the way it’s going. So, who says I can’t be a little extra and make a save the date for my graduation?

When Basic Invite reached out to me asking if I would be interested in working with them, I had a few questions since it seemed like their site was mostly catered towards brides, which I am not. After searching their site and reading more about them, I found that it was so much fun customizing invites for any occasion that I just couldn’t resist the offer, and decided to make some save the dates for my upcoming graduation this summer. Plus, since I work in the wedding industry, I thought this would be a fun way to learn a little more about a part of the industry I am not actively in. (Also, shoutout to all of my future brides! You’ll want to see this!)

Here’s a little bit about this super cute company!

Custom Samples: After creating your perfect wedding invite, save the date, or graduation announcement, they send you a FREE sample of the product you’ve designed! This is a great way to see the texture and quality of the paper and the true colors.

Unlimited Color Combinations: Okay, I have to be honest, this was the part of the process that I obsessed over the most. I tried out probably 15 different save the date styles and then spent forever exploring color combinations for each one. I could have done it forever – it was so easy and so much fun!  Literally EVERY detail of the invitations could be edited to suit your color scheme!

Over 900 Wedding Invitation Sets: If you do happen to be getting married and want to have a hand-crafted look but can’t afford the hand-crafted price, Basic Invite is the way to go. There are nearly a thousand invitation sets that you can browse, and each set contains everything you need. You can even get magnetic save the dates, which honestly is so smart since all of my save the dates end up on my fridge, anyway!

Free Address-Collection Service: Keeping track of everyone you want to invite to your event can be tricky, and keeping track of their addresses is even more difficult! Gone are the days of pocket-sized address books, but who needs them when Basic Invite will keep your guest list in order?

ECO-FRIENDLY BONUS!: I have been super careful lately about what I am spending my money on. I want to be shopping as sustainably as possible, and Basic Invite is really fantastic about using paper that is FSC certified! That means that the paper is manufactured responsibly with reduced effect on the environment in an effort to save the world’s forests! Plus, some of the paper types are made with 50% recycled materials, and they have a bunch of digital options as well!

So, if you are getting ready to get married, graduate, host a baby shower, or throw a Galentine’s Day party (shout out to all the Leslie Knopes out there!), definitely head over to Basic Invite for all of your invitation needs. And then IMMEDIATELY show me your brilliant creation!

Happy creating, my friends.
