Meet the Girl
I’m Kaitlin Grace, the artist behind Golden Aged Girl. Welcome to my blog – a place where you can read my blog, browse my favorite looks, or check out my painting portfolio!
Hi! I’m Kaitlin! I’ve been an artist ever since I was a tiny babe. I’ve dabbled in many different art forms, from piano, painting, photography, and writing. I have always needed a creative outlet, and I’ve found that my favorite ways to be creative are through watercoloring, writing, and fashion. What a wild mix, I know. But each of these things allow me to connect to other people on a more meaningful level.
I’ve never been one for small talk, so having a blog where I can talk about things that scare me, things that I struggle with, or things I love builds a bridge to others. It feels like a life preserve that saves both me and the reader. Painting I love because I feel like I get to be a part of something outside of myself. I get to create something that makes someone happy, and we all need a little more of that, I think.
I currently live in LA with my sweet boyfriend and our two roommates. All of us are artists in some way, and that really creates an atmosphere that fosters inspiration and encouragement.
Before I started doing custom watercolors, I made some incredible memories working at Disneyland. I portrayed some of the princesses for nearly a decade before leaving there to dip my toes into the fashion industry. I worked for Stitch Fix styling clients from all over the country, which was such a fun experience. I loved getting to know the women I was styling and helping them find clothes they loved. During that time, I also worked at a bridal salon in Orange County helping brides find the perfect dress for their big day! Being part of the wedding process with brides was truly so rewarding. It’s one of the reasons I love working so closely with clients on paintings!
